Interoperability Test
Last update 30 Oct. 2001
- Our Consideration
We believe the Interoperability Test should be performed in multivendor environments, that is, between various implementations, just like the real world.
However, we consider the below steps should be followed to verify interoperability.
Step-1: Conformance Test :
See our Conformance Test pages.
Step-2: Interoperability with Sample Network:
This verifies if your target node can work in some certain typical networks.
Since this test will be conducted in limited environments, this is set as the first step of the Interoperability Tests.
Step-3: Interoperability with Multi
Implementation Environment:
Step 3 is something like verifying interoperability with "the real world".
It is very difficult to define a role of each node in this step, since each Implementation plays various roles in "the real world".
- Test Scenarios
We open the test scenarios as the policy of the TAHI Project.
We welcome your comments and opinions as they will lead to improvement of the scenarios.
We are currently working on scenarios of one group: Scenarios for Interoperability
with Sample Network.
Scenarios for "Interoperability with Multi
Implementation Environment" should appear as required for each Interoperability meeting.
- Test tools
We open our test tools as the policy of the TAHI Project.
