Francisco, The differences in the tests are decently documented in thetest specification pdf that is on the TAHI website. Depending on whetheryou decide to select to run the Host, Router, or Special Device test isbased on the nature of the device you are testing. The selection ofrouter will run most, if not all, of the tests. The host selection runsa subset of those tests which basically exclude any major routing teststhat a normal host machine will not need to handle. The special devicetests are yet another subset of that because the special device mightnot be made to handle certain tasks and therefore those are excluded. In answer to your second question, as far as the IPv6 readyself test tools are involved, at this point it seems like the specialdevice tests only exist under the Phase 1 testing, which is what I'mguessing you are working on. Hope this helps some, Stavros Dukas ________________________________From: Francisco Castellon [mailto:FCastellon@tadboise.com] Sent: Wednesday, July 20, 2005 1:21 PMTo: users@tahi.orgSubject: [users:00073] Conformance tests Hello all: I was wondering what difference is between running the tests for HOST orROUTER or SPECIAL. Can you even run the tests for a special device yet?If so what happens, do all the test scripts still run but only thosethat are specific to your device type matter? If anyone can shed anylight on the issue for me I'd appreciate it, thanx! Francisco
