From your results, I still think it has something to do with the value
you've got after Type. Try a few different combinations of things like,
just one space, just one tab, two tabs, etc. I double-checked mine and
there are actually two tabs between Type and host. Make sure there aren't
any spaces after the value either.

One more thing to double-check: Where is the nut.def file? It should be at
/usr/local/v6eval/etc/nut.def.

Regards,

Christy

Hi Norman ,

I still see same issue after making a change you suggested of having a tab
space it between the label and value .
Please find the output.

In the below output you can see TEST 3 and TEST 7 and not getting executed
as the test is for router only.

Let me know if you need more information.

========= TEST 1 ==========
./BEGIN.seq -pkt /dev/null -log 1.html -ti "Initialization"
Target: Reboot
NUT(manual ) does not support the functionality
  -> Not yet supported
========== TEST 2 ==========
./PingToHost.seq -pkt ./PingToHost.def -log 2.html -ti "Source and
Destination Address (ping)"
Start Capturing Packets (Link0)
Send Echo Request (Link-Local Address)
Recv Echo Reply (Link-Local Address)
OK
  -> PASS
========== TEST 3 ==========
./PingOverRouter.seq -pkt ./PingOverRouter.def -log 3.html -ti "Source and
Destination Address (ping over Router)"
This test is for the router only
  -> Router Only
========== TEST 4 ==========
./IH_UnrecognizedNextHeader.seq -pkt ./IH_UnrecognizedNextHeader.def -log
4.html -ti "Unrecognized Next Header in IPv6 Header"
Start Capturing Packets (Link0)
Send Unrecognized Next Header in IPv6 Header
Recv ICMP Error (Parameter Problem, unrecognized Next Header type
encountered)OK
  -> PASS
========== TEST 5 ==========
./IH_NoNextHeader.seq -pkt ./IH_NoNextHeader.def -log 5.html -ti "No Next
Header in IPv6 Header"
This test is for the router only
  -> Router Only
========== TEST 6 ==========
./PL_OddToHost.seq -pkt ./PL_OddToHost.def -log 6.html -ti "Payload Length
is Od d value"
Start Capturing Packets (Link0)
Send Echo Request (Odd Payload Length)
Recv Echo Reply (Odd Payload Length)
OK
  -> PASS
========== TEST 7 ==========
./PL_OddOverRouter.seq -pkt ./PL_OddOverRouter.def -log 7.html -ti
"Payload Length is Odd value over Router"
This test is for the router only
  -> Router Only
========== TEST 8 ==========
Thanks & Regards,
Venu

Try deleting the line with 'router' in it and retyping it, with only one
tab between the label and value. I noticed that you have a tab, several
spaces, then the value (router). I've had a problem with this when I
changed from manual to automated.

Some more information about what's happening would be useful if you're
still having problems. What does it say for the ones that didn't pass?
There's always something like:

TN did not receive NS for Host1 from NUT.
NUT does not deal with Preference correctly.
NG

Or something else semi-useful in red.

Thanks for your response.

Yes , the other test cases run fine .

In the IPv6 Specification results i see all the tests as PASSED apart from

- initialization test
- "router only" tests
- "host only" tests

Thanks & Regards,

What happens when you try this? Do you get an error? What are the commands
you're using and the error you get (if you get one)? Does it work if you
try to run another set of tests besides the "router only" ones?

[users:00692] Execution of "Router Only" test cases.

Hi ,

Configured Linux system having FreeBSD with TAHI test suites.

Connected two ethernet interfaces from Linux Box to cisco router with IPv6
enabled on the interfaces.

All the IPv6 Specification tests run well which are present in "ct"
directory. I am not able to run the "router only"
test cases even though i configured nut.def as a router and its interfaces
mac addresses.

Linux < --------- Eth 1 ------------> Cisco Router
        <-----------Eth 2  ----------->

Please find the attached config files and let me know how to enable the
router only test cases.

Thanks for your help.
