Hi Jiabo,

If the router can play the function as a relay agent, I think it is OK. As a application for examination, the message type and content is important for judging the result. So in my personal opinion, it is OK only if the router sends some correct DHCPv6 messages, such as:"relay-forward", "relay-reply", etc. However, in that case, the router should be a relay-agent in some ways. BTW, use OS as a relay agent should be OK when you use some DHCPv6 relay-agent software in that OS.

Hi all:
   If I test DHCPv6 server phase 2 for ipv6ready logo, could I use a 
router as a relay agent ?
or I only can use a node (like freebsd or netbsd) as a relay agent.
